Sorcerer

DPSWeapon: Spellbook

The Sorcerer is a powerful damage dealer who devastates foes with high-potency magic. Though such potent magic comes at the cost of lower HP and defense, they compensate with a variety of crowd-control skills, allowing them to neutralize approaching enemies before they become a threat.

How the Sorcerer plays

The Sorcerer is the glass cannon of Atreia: a magicbook caster whose single hits are the biggest numbers on any screen, balanced by the thinnest health pool in the game. The playstyle is about tempo — landing crowd control early, sequencing long casts inside safe windows, and deleting priority targets before they reach you. Aion 2 gives the class an unusually deep control kit (sleeps, roots, slows), so a good Sorcerer is not just a turret but the party's soft-control officer. High risk near melee, devastating from behind a competent frontline.

Built-in chains are always on; the others need a Specialty option or a stigma level.

Sorcerer FAQ

What role does the Sorcerer play in Aion 2?

The Sorcerer is a pure Dealer class — the game's dedicated burst magic caster. It pairs the highest-potency nukes with a wide crowd-control kit, at the cost of low HP and defense.

What weapon does the Sorcerer use?

The Magicbook (spellbook), exclusive to the Sorcerer. Casting is built around long, high-damage spells woven between crowd-control effects.

How fragile is the Sorcerer really?

It has the lowest survivability of the eight launch classes by design. The game data trades HP and defense for raw magic damage, so positioning and pre-cast crowd control are your real defensive stats.

Sorcerer or Spiritmaster — which magic class should I pick?

Sorcerer is direct: big casts, big numbers, crowd control. Spiritmaster is indirect: summons tank and fight for you while damage-over-time and debuffs wear enemies down. Pick Sorcerer for burst, Spiritmaster for a safer, more tactical solo experience.
