Terms of Use

Aion2.gg is free to use. These terms say what you may do with its pages and data, and what is not permitted.

What you may do

  • Read, search and use every page and tool for your own play, with no account.
  • Link to any page, share it, and embed our item and skill tooltips with the official script from Website Tooltips.
  • Quote short parts of a page (a few facts or numbers) when you name Aion2.gg and link the page.
  • Search engines and AI assistants may read pages to answer a person's question, as long as they link the page they used.

What is not permitted

  • Downloading the site or its data in bulk with scripts, crawlers or coding agents, or crawling paths that our robots.txt disallows.
  • Mirroring or re-hosting pages, data, icons, maps or 3D files, or republishing them as your own.
  • Building datasets from the site, or using it to train AI models beyond what the AI model training licence permits.
  • Getting around rate limits, bot checks or blocks, or calling the site's APIs for anything other than showing the site and its tooltips.

Who owns what

  • The site's code, design, texts, guides, translations, calculations and the way the data is selected and arranged belong to Aion2.gg.
  • Aion 2 names, texts, art, icons, models and game data belong to NCSOFT. Aion2.gg claims no rights in them and is not affiliated with NCSOFT.

AI model training licence

  • Aion2.gg licenses these AI companies to use its pages to train AI models: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, Apple, Meta, Amazon, Mistral AI, Perplexity, and xAI. The licence covers the pages that the company's own search or training crawlers collected while following our robots.txt. It does not cover pages fetched to answer one person's question, link previews, or the site's APIs.
  • Condition: when an answer or other output uses what a model learned from Aion2.gg, the company credits the source as "Aion2.gg" with a link to https://aion2.gg or, when known, to the page used.
  • A crawler is one of these companies' crawlers only when its requests come from network addresses that company publishes for it or demonstrably controls (its published IP list, the reverse-DNS check it documents, or its own network). A client that merely puts a company's crawler name in its User-Agent is not that company: it receives no licence, and the rules against scraping apply to it.
  • The licence is personal to each company. It cannot be transferred or sublicensed, and the content may not be redistributed or sold as a dataset, mirror or database. Dataset crawlers, such as Common Crawl's, are not licensed.
  • A listed company that documents no crawler yet (xAI today) is covered from the day it publishes its crawler's name and a way to verify it. Other AI companies can ask for the same licence through Contact & support.
  • Attribution cannot be checked by technical means: it is a condition of this licence, and a company that does not meet it is not licensed.

Text and data mining

Aion2.gg reserves its rights against text and data mining under Article 4 of EU Directive 2019/790. Search indexing, and AI assistants reading a page to answer a person's question with a link to it, remain permitted. Model training is permitted only under the AI model training licence; all other text and data mining, and dataset building, are not.

The same rules are stated for machines in robots.txt and tdmrep.json. The licence offer is also published for machines as tdm-policy.json (W3C TDMRep).
