Level 45 is the cap of the EU/NA launch, and it's where your character really starts to grow. From here on you don't gain levels; you gain Item Level. This guide is the loop that raises it: what to finish first, which dungeons open at which item level, what to craft and what to farm, how risky enhancing really is, what to buy with Abyss Points, and a routine you can repeat every day and every week.
Every game number below comes from the EU client data. When a figure is our own calculation, or a tip is our opinion rather than a fact, we say so.
At a glance
If you only read one section, read this one.
- Collect the free points first. Clear any Sealed Dungeons and Regional quests you skipped, plus the level-45 Sealed Dungeon. Each one adds skill points and Daevanion Crystals that nothing else gives for free. They also fill the Ascension Gauge that locks your level-45 Ascension quest, which pays an amulet and a bracelet.
- Item Level opens content, not Combat Power. Conquest opens at 700, Transcendence at 1,600 and the Ludra raid at 2,800. The full ladder is in the next section.
- Spend Odyle Energy every day. It refills 120 a day, which pays for 3 dungeon cubes, and it stops refilling at 560. Log in at least every 4 days.
- Farm drops to climb, craft to keep. Conquest drops get you through the first gates. Crafted Dragon Lord gear rolls 5 sub-stats against 4 on drops, and it out-levels the drop of every Conquest tier.
- Enhance +1 to +10 freely. Those steps can't fail. Above +10 a failure costs materials but never levels. Runes are different: from +2, a failed rune attempt drops it one level.
- Abyss Points buy growth, not rune chests. Spend them on Stigma Shards, Daevanion Crystal: Azphel, Fierce Battle Amulet scrolls and the weekly manastones. Clash Rune Chests come from the Nightmare shop.
- Repeat the routine. It's laid out below and in the Daily & Weekly Checklist.
Item Level opens everything
Dungeon entry checks your Item Level, a total over everything you have equipped. Combat Power is shown in the game, but no entry checks it, and the client doesn't ship a formula for it. When you plan your next upgrade, track Item Level.
Three things raise it, as far as the data shows. The first is the item level of each piece, which comes from its grade and tier. The second is enhancing: in the client data every enhance level adds 1 item level to that piece, so a +10 item counts 10 higher. The third is Arcana cards, which carry their own item level. The client doesn't publish the formula for the total, so treat the last two as our reading of the data.
At 45 the gates line up like this (all need level 45):
| Item Level | What opens |
|---|---|
| 700 | Conquest Tier 1: Krao Cave and Draupnir |
| 1,000 | Ascension Trial (Easy) and the matchmade Subjugation dungeons |
| 1,400 | Conquest Tier 2: Urugugu Canyon and Vakron Sky Island |
| 1,600 | Transcendence Stage 1: Deus Research Base and Shattered Arkanis |
| 1,900 | Transcendence Stage 2 |
| 2,100 | Conquest Tier 3: Fire Temple and Ferocious Horn Den |
| 2,200 | Transcendence Stage 3 |
| 2,500 | Transcendence Stage 4 |
| 2,800 | Sanctuary raid Abyssal Forge: Ludra (10 players) |
Draupnir, Vakron Sky Island and Ferocious Horn Den also have an easier Exploration difficulty at the same gates (700, 1,400 and 2,100). The harder Ascension Trial tiers ask for 1,500, 2,000 and 2,500; the tiers above them are locked in this build.
A Transcendence Stage opens only when you meet its Item Level and clear the previous Stage with an S rank. An A or B rank doesn't unlock the next Stage, so a party that barely clears Stage 1 has to come back for a cleaner run.
Advice: run the ladder in that order. Conquest Tier 1 and Tier 2 come before Transcendence, and Conquest Tier 3 sits between Stages 2 and 3. Our endgame PvE guide has the loot of every dungeon on the ladder.
Step 1: collect the free power you skipped
Some sources of skill points and Daevanion Crystals pay out once per character and never come back. At 45 they're the cheapest power in the game, so finish them before you queue for anything.
Show the whole sectionHide the section
- Sealed Dungeons. Each home region (Verteron for Elyos, Altgard for Asmodians) has 60 solo
Sealed Dungeons with no level lock. Your first clear of each pays
2Wisdom Stone (Bound)×2 (2 skill points),
2Daevanion Crystal (Bound)×2, 15,000 Kina, 1,250 Enhance Stones and a title.
- The level-45 Sealed Dungeon. Ruins of the Ancient City of Ru (Elyos) or Ruins of the Ancient City of Ru (Asmodian) needs 3 earlier Sealed Dungeons and pays 2 more skill points and 2 more crystals.
- Regional quests, the green quests on the map. 7 of them only unlock at 45, and in each faction 58 Regional quests pay 1 Wisdom Stone and 1 Daevanion Crystal each.
Here's what one character can collect from those one-time sources:
| Points | Levels 1–45 | Regional quests | Home Sealed Dungeons | Level-45 Sealed Dungeon | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Skill points | 203 | 58 | 120 | 2 | 383 |
| Daevanion Crystals | 136 | 58 | 120 | 2 | 316 |
That isn't enough to max everything. The four PvE Daevanion boards cost 570 crystals together
(Nezekan 134, Zikel 134, Vaizel 134, Triniel 168). The shops add at most 100 crystals per character,
and those purchases never reset: 50 in the Shugo Festival shop for Centuryroot Token and 50 in
the Nightmare shop. That's 416 at most, so you'll leave some nodes empty. Skill points run short the
same way: a Gladiator needs 462 to put all 22 of its skills at 10.
Advice: spend crystals where they pay the most. That means the gold corner nodes (+1.5% stats
each) and the blue nodes that raise the skills you actually press. Plan the route in the
Daevanion Planner before you commit; a reset costs 500 Kina per node. The
fifth board, Azphel, opens at 45 and has only PvP and status-effect nodes. It uses its own
currency, Daevanion Crystal: Azphel (Bound).
The level-45 Ascension quest
The level-45 Episode quest and its Ascension quest are locked behind the Ascension Gauge. The Episode quest is Witness to a Nightmare for Elyos or Daeva Trapped in a Nightmare for Asmodians. The Ascension quest is The One Who Witnesses the Nightmare (Elyos) or The One Who Witnesses the Nightmare (Asmodian). The pair needs a gauge score of 1,490 (Elyos) or 1,500 (Asmodians), and until then the game shows "Unlocked when Ascension Gauge reaches 100%". The story alone can't get you there. Regional quests, Sealed Dungeons and Stronghold sweeps all add to the gauge, so the free-points list above also clears this lock.
It's worth it. That Ascension quest is where the Ascension Bracelet and the
Fierce Battle Amulet come from. The amulet grows with Abyss Points (see Step 6).
A quick win: Power Shards
Power Shard (Bound) sells for 10 Kina in the General Shop and adds 5% damage to your attacks.
Open the Power Shard settings, click the slot and drag a shard down to enable it, then toggle it
with its key (G by default). You need a weapon equipped.
Step 2: spend your Odyle Energy every day
Every Conquest and Transcendence clear gives you an Odyle Energy Cube, and opening it costs 40 Odyle Energy (Exploration cubes cost 20 to 40). Each cube pays out for the 2 mid-bosses and the final boss you killed. Energy is the clock of the whole endgame:
- Refill: +15 every 3 hours, which is 120 a day, or 3 cubes.
- Cap: 560, or 840 with the membership. Energy items can raise it to 2,000.
- Full after: about 4.7 days without the membership. After that the refill is wasted.
The game also counts rewards per character. A Conquest reward refills every 8 hours (3 a day, up to 21), a Transcendence reward every 12 hours (2 a day, up to 14), and each week allows 35 Conquest and 28 Transcendence final-boss kills. Those counters refill 5 a day in total while energy pays for 3 cubes, so energy usually runs out first (our reading of the two refill rates).
Clearing a run and leaving without opening the cube uses up one of the 10 weekly "unobtained cube" clears. That counter is shared by all your characters on that server, and at 0 none of them can enter Conquest or Transcendence until the weekly reset.
What a Conquest final-boss cube holds:
| Reward | Amount or chance |
|---|---|
| Kina | 70,000 to 140,000 |
| 2,000 | |
| Silentium | 7 |
| Soul Codex | 1 |
| 20% | |
| Epic gear | 200% weight (about 2 rolls); item level 40, 42 or 45 by tier |
| Unique gear | 7.5%; item level 54, 70 or 86 by tier |
| 30% | |
| 5.4% |
Bad luck has a floor. After 14 cubes in a Tier 1 dungeon, 21 in Tier 2 or 28 in Tier 3, you get a
guaranteed pick from that dungeon's Unique accessories or its Gear Change Voucher (for example
Gear Change Voucher: Krao Cave (Bound)).
For heavy players: Kina from cubes shrinks once your server's weekly play count gets high. That count covers all your characters on the server. Conquest pays full Kina for the first 84 plays of the week and Transcendence for the first 56. After that the Kina drops in steps, down to 20%. The count resets on Wednesday.
Step 3: what to farm and what to craft
Use drops to reach the gates and crafted gear to keep. Here's how the two compare at 45:
Show the whole sectionHide the section
| Gear | Grade | Sub-stats (Soul Binding) | Item level |
|---|---|---|---|
| Conquest Epic drops | Epic | 3 | 40 / 42 / 45 (Tier 1 / 2 / 3) |
| Conquest Unique drops | Unique | 4 | 54 / 70 / 86 |
| Crafted Dragon Lord gear | Unique | 5 | 62 → 102 |
| Ludra raid weapons | Unique | 3 | 102 (5% per boss cube) |
The crafted Dragon Lord line covers weapons, armor and accessories. It climbs in six steps:
True/Star (62) → Splendent (70) → White/Dark (78) → Splendent (86) → Wise/Ebony (94) →
Splendent (102). Elyos craft the first name of each pair and Asmodians the second. Each normal
craft has a 25% combo chance to give the Splendent version instead, which is 8 item levels
higher. Each crafted step is above the Unique drop of the matching Conquest tier. A few drops are
worse than they look: the item-level-86 Fire Temple weapons, such as Enraged Kromede Claymore, roll
only 3 sub-stats.
The first crafted step needs a pre-45 Unique piece plus endgame materials. Here's the Elyos
greatsword as an example, True Dragon Lord Greatsword:
-
Artisan's Splendent Orichalcum Greatsword
-
4Artisan's Ultimate Refining Stone×4
-
22Fine Thick Balaur Horn×22
-
10Wrathful Mind×10
-
9Radiant Orichalcum Ore×9
-
5Radiant Odyle×5
Wrathful Mind and the Artisan's Ultimate Refining Stone come from Conquest cubes. A refining-stone roll gives the Artisan's Ultimate version only 0.75% of the time, so those 4 stones are the slow part. The Crafting Calculator expands the full chain and subtracts what you already own.
Advice:
- Wear the Conquest drops you get on the way. Tier 1 drops alone can't reach 1,400, even at +15, so plan crafted pieces too; the 1,400 Item Level guide does the sums. Take the drops through the free +1 to +10 steps, since each level also adds item level. Don't spend risky attempts or Soul Binding on a piece you'll replace. Each item's database page shows whether Gear Transfer can carry its progress over.
- Craft the slot with the biggest item-level gap first, often the weapon. Then work through armor and accessories as Wrathful Minds come in.
- The Upgrade Priority tool ranks your next steps by stats gained per Kina. The Soul Binding guide explains what the extra sub-stat is worth.
Step 4: fill your Arcana from Transcendence
Arcana are cards that sit in 5 slots: Chalice, Parchment, Compass, Bell and Mirror. They come in 4 grades. Each card adds its own item level and raises skill levels:
Show the whole sectionHide the section
| Grade | Item level | Random skill effects | Max enhance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Common | 20 | 1 | +2 |
| Rare | 40 | 2 | +3 |
| Epic | 60 | 3 | +4 |
| Unique | 80 | 4 | +5 |
Each Arcana enhance level adds +1 item level. Arcana enhancing uses EXP from Training Arcana and can't fail; a Unique card takes 93,000 EXP to reach +5.
You need both Transcendence dungeons to fill every slot. Deus Research Base drops Chalice, Compass and Bell cards, and Shattered Arkanis drops Chalice, Parchment and Mirror. Average cards from one final boss:
| Stage | Common | Rare | Epic | Unique |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 120% | 12% | – | – |
| 2 | 180% | 60% | 12% | – |
| 3 | 120% | 90% | 45% | 12% |
| 4 | 18% | 90% | 90% | 60% |
Each mid-boss rolls about a third of that.
Advice: slot any card the moment you get one. Even a Common card carries item level 20 and a
skill-level effect. Don't Transmute early: it only creates Unique cards and costs
5Mysterious Crystal (Bound)×5 plus 2,000,000 Kina. Which skill effects you rolled starts to matter at
Epic, where a card has 3 of them.
Two sets are live. Primal Vigor uses the "of Vigor" cards, such as Chalice of Vigor. Its
2-piece bonus is +60 PvE Attack and its 4-piece bonus +150, both while your HP is at 70% or more.
Magic Armor ("of Magic" cards) is the MP set: its 2-piece bonus restores 1,500 MP when you drop
to 20% MP or less, and its 4-piece bonus gives +1,000 PvE Defense while you're at 50% MP or more.
Step 5: enhance without wasting Kina
Gear and runes follow different rules, and runes are the trap.
Show the whole sectionHide the section
Gear: failures cost materials, never levels
- Epic gear: +1 to +10, all 100%.
- Unique gear: +1 to +10 at 100%, then 5 risky steps up to +15. A failure keeps your level and costs only the materials. Every failure adds 5 percentage points to your next attempt. This bonus resets if the item is traded.
Expected cost on an item-level-102 Unique piece, our calculation from the client odds (it assumes the bonus resets on success, as our Enhancement Planner does):
| Step | Base chance | Average attempts | Worst case | Average Kina |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| +11 | 65% | 1.5 | 8 | about 0.54M |
| +12 | 50% | 1.9 | 11 | about 1.0M |
| +13 | 35% | 2.4 | 14 | about 2.1M |
| +14 | 25% | 3.0 | 16 | about 4.1M |
| +15 | 20% | 3.4 | 17 | about 6.4M |
So +10 to +15 averages about 14 million Kina and 154,000 Enhance Stones for one item.
Amplified Enhancement comes after the normal cap, on Unique gear that's fully enhanced. It
uses Amplify Stone (Unique), and Substance Morph turns
4Amplify Stone Fragment (Unique) (Bound)×4 plus 2,500
Enhance Stones into one. The first Amplified step on an item-level-102 weapon takes 6 of them.
Items get 1, 3 or 5 Amplified steps depending on their item level (5 from the item-level-86 drops
and the 94–102 crafts). The rates are 66%, 50%, 33%, 25% and 20%, with a smaller bonus after each
failure (+5, +4, +3, +2 and +1 points). The enhance data has no destruction, but the client
contains a warning about items destroyed by a failed Amplified attempt, so read the in-game warning
before each try.
Runes: failures drop a level
The only rune in this build is the Clash Rune, and you have 2 rune slots. Each attempt
costs 1
Clash Rune Enhance Scroll (Bound), Enhance Stones and Kina. From the +2 attempt on, a failure drops
the rune one level. There's no pity bonus, and the data has no destruction.
| Target | Chance | Stat that starts at this level | Average scrolls from +3 | Average Kina from +3 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| +3 | 66% | PvE Damage Boost | – | – |
| +4 | 50% | – | 4.3 | 0.12M |
| +5 | 33% | Penetration | 16 | 0.61M |
| +6 | 25% | – | 55 | 2.7M |
| +7 | 20% | Combat Speed | 217 | 12.1M |
| +9 | 12% | Multi-hit Chance | about 7,900 | about 484M |
The last two columns are our calculation from the client odds and costs, including the levels you lose and win back. The lower steps are +1 at 100% and +2 at 80%, then +8 at 15% and +10 at 10%.
Advice: the onboarding "+3 Clash Rune Set Bundle" hands you two +3 runes, so your first real
gamble is +3 → +4 at 50%. +5 is the sensible target. It adds Penetration and costs about 16
scrolls per rune on average, which is about two chests' worth. +7 is a long-term project, and +9 and
+10 aren't realistic. A Clash Rune Chest (Bound) holds 1 Clash Rune and 9 scrolls, and the Nightmare
shop sells it for
500Phantasmal Fragment×500.
Step 6: what to buy with Abyss Points
The Abyss opens at 45. You get 7 hours per week in each of the Lower, Middle and Upper Abyss,
refilled on Wednesday. Abyss Points come from Abyss play: garrison rewards (for example
3,000 AP plus 15,000 Kina) and Rift Fragments. Clearing an enemy-faction Sealed Dungeon through a
Spacetime Rift also pays 1,000 AP and 2,500 Enhance Stones.
Show the whole sectionHide the section
You spend them at the Abyss Trade Shop. Its tabs are Consumables, Growth, Skins, Wings and Medal. The picks that make you stronger:
| Item | Price in AP | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| 1,000 | 50 per week, per character | |
| 2,000 | 50 per week, per character | |
| 10,000 → 15,000 → 20,000 → 25,000 | 50 at each price, per character, no reset | |
| 10,000 → 20,000 → 40,000 → 80,000 | 20, then 30 at each later price, per character, no reset | |
| 10,000 → 25,000 → 50,000 → 75,000 → 100,000 → 150,000 | 5 at each price, per character, no reset | |
| 25,000 → 50,000 → 75,000 → 100,000 | 2 / 4 / 6 / 8 per week at those prices, shared by your characters on the server | |
| 35,000 | – |
Advice:
- Buy the cheapest step of each ladder first. Prices only go up within each ladder, and these limits never reset.
- Stigma Shards come first. One stigma from level 1 to 20 costs 75 shards, but leveling gives only 29 by 45.
- Then the amulet. The Fierce Battle Amulet from your level-45 Ascension quest is Rare.
Every enhance level, up to +10, costs one scroll, and the steps can't fail. Substance Morph turns
a +10 Rare amulet into the Epic one and a +10 Epic into the
Fierce Battle Amulet (item level 65). That's 30 scrolls for a +10 Unique amulet, exactly the 30 the shop sells per character. The first 10 cost 175,000 AP, and all 30 cost 2,050,000.
- Azphel crystals feed the Azphel board, so they matter if you PvP.
The Abyss Points shop sells no rune chests. The Clash Rune Chest is on the Growth tab of the
Nightmare Trade Shop (500 Phantasmal Fragments). The Season Shop also sells it for
4,000Oath Coin×4,000 (50 per server). Both vendors are called "Trade Shop" in the
game, which makes them easy to mix up.
Your daily and weekly routine
Here's the whole loop in two lists. The Daily & Weekly Checklist tracks every item per character and clears itself at each reset. The Event Timer shows when Rifts, the Shugo Festival, Dimensional Invasions and field bosses start, in server time and yours.
Every day (or every few days, since most of these bank up):
| Task | Why | Banks up to |
|---|---|---|
| Spend Odyle Energy on Conquest or Transcendence cubes | Gear, Arcana, crafting materials, Kina | 560 energy, about 4.7 days |
| Nightmare | Phantasmal Fragments for Clash Rune Chests, Stigma Shards and Daevanion Crystals | 14 attempts (2 a day) |
| Shugo Festival | Centuryroot Tokens for the festival shop's Daevanion Crystals and Stigma Shards | Reward keys: 12 per server (3 a day), 28 per character (4 a day) |
| Dimensional Invasion | Its reward key | 7 keys (1 a day), shared by your characters on the server |
| Duty quests | Daily rewards | Daily cap (per character or per server) |
Every week (Wednesday reset):
| Task | Limit |
|---|---|
| Abyssal Forge: Ludra (item level 2,800) | 4 attempts, 1 final-boss kill |
| Ascension Trial | 3 entries |
| Abyss | 7 hours per layer, then spend AP on the weekly shop items |
| Conquest and Transcendence final bosses | 35 and 28 kills |
| Daily Dungeon (Unknown Fissure) | 14 entries, shared by your characters on the server |
| Nightmare shop | Soul Codex ×5 (5 a week) and Soul Codex: Reset (3 a week) |
Odyle Energy fills up in about 4.7 days. Nightmare attempts and the Conquest and Transcendence reward counts take 7 days to fill. If you can't play daily, log in at least every 4 days and you lose nothing. Unbound Kina has a "Daily Gain Limit" of 1,000,000. Once you reach it, normal monsters stop dropping items for you, so long open-world farming sessions have a ceiling.
