Aion 2 Pantheon & Theostones: Late Stats Explained
Two late stat sources in Aion 2: the Pantheon's 17 decoration slots and the best piece for each, and weapon Theostones with their effects, odds and combining.
Once your gear is on track, two systems keep adding power without touching your Item Level: the Pantheon, a room of decorations that grant deity stats, and Theostones, the proc stones you engrave into your weapon and Guard. Both are slow, both reward patience, and both are easy to get wrong if you don't know which pieces are worth chasing.
Every number, name and source below comes from the EU client data. Expected-damage comparisons are our own calculations from that data and are marked as such. Tips that are our opinion are marked as advice.
In 30 seconds
- The Pantheon opens with the level-22 Ascension quest and has 17 slots: 12 artworks, 4 statues and 1 colossus. Only placed decorations count, and each decoration can be owned once per character.
- The colossus slot is the big one.
Colossus: Guardian Lord Nahma gives 55 Destruction, 55 Justice and 55 Time;
Colossus: Zikel's Apparition (Bound) from the Nightmare shop gives 45 of each.
- Each deity point is +0.1% on its two effects, so 55 Destruction is +5.5% Attack. Our stats guide lists all ten.
- Theostones go into Epic and Unique weapons and Guards, one per item, for 10,000 Kina. Two identical stones don't stack, so run two different ones.
- Combining is the way up. Rare stones combine into Epic about 11% of the time, Epic into Unique about 9%. Unique stones have no other source in the EU client.
The Pantheon
The One Who Hears the Voice (Elyos) or The One Who Hears the Voice (Asmodian), the Ascension quest at level 22, unlocks the Pantheon. Open it from Main Menu > Pantheon. Decorations come from drops, quests, the Nightmare shop and Substance Morph. The rules:
- Use it to own it. A decoration item does nothing in your bag; use it from your Cube to add it to your owned list.
- Once per character. You can't register a decoration you already own, so a duplicate is only worth selling, when the item is tradeable.
- Only placed pieces count. The stats appear in Main Menu > Stats. Pantheon presets let you swap layouts.
| Slot | How many | Deity stats it gives |
|---|---|---|
| Colossus | 1 | Destruction, Justice, Time |
| Statue | 4 | Death, Freedom, Space |
| Artwork | 12 | Destiny, Life, Wisdom, Illusion |
Every slot is open from the start; there is no level gate inside the Pantheon.
The colossus
| Colossus | Grade | Stats | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Heroic | 55 Destruction, 55 Justice, 55 Time | A 25% roll in the rewards of the Guardian Lord Nahma Abyss bosses, such as | |
| Unique | 45 Destruction, 45 Justice, 45 Time | Nightmare shop, 14,000 | |
| Rare | 35 Justice, 35 Time | Elyos story quest Zumion's Ward | |
| Rare | 35 Justice, 35 Time | Asmodian story quest Last of the Destruction Archons |
Advice: place the free story colossus right away, then buy Zikel's Apparition as soon as your Nightmare clears allow it. The Nahma colossus is the best in slot, and since it is tradeable you can also buy it from another player if you have the membership.
The four statues
| Statue | Stats | Source |
|---|---|---|
| 12 Death, 12 Freedom, 12 Space | Achievement: clear Draupnir Conquest 10 times | |
| 10 Freedom, 10 Space | Achievement: activate all 61 Kibelisks in Verteron (Elyos) or Altgard (Asmodian) | |
| 10 Death, 10 Space | Level-45 Ascension quest The One Who Witnesses the Nightmare or The One Who Witnesses the Nightmare | |
| 10 Death, 10 Freedom | Level-32 Ascension quest The One Who Dreams or The One Who Dreams | |
| 10 Death, 10 Space | Nightmare shop, 8,000 Phantasmal Fragments | |
| 10 Freedom, 10 Space | Nightmare shop, 8,000 Phantasmal Fragments | |
| 8 + 8 | Nightmare shop, 5,000 Phantasmal Fragments each |
Advice: Bakarma plus the two Ascension statues and the Kibelisk statue fill all four slots without spending a single Phantasmal Fragment. Swap in Notun or Gerod only if you want a different stat mix.
The twelve artworks
Artworks come in tiers. The higher tiers all add 12 to 20 points across three or four stats:
| Tier | Example | Stats | Sources |
|---|---|---|---|
| Heroic | 5 each in Destiny, Life, Wisdom and Illusion | Substance Morph: 20,000 Artwork Scraps from field boss loot chests | |
| Heroic | 5 Destiny, 5 Illusion, 5 Wisdom | Achievement: clear the Ludra raid 3 times (Item Level 2,800) | |
| Heroic | 5 Destiny, 5 Illusion, 5 Life | A 25% roll in the Guardian Lord Nahma rewards | |
| Unique | 4 + 4 + 4 | Conquest cubes of each dungeon, about 1.25% per full clear (our calculation) | |
| Unique | 4 + 4 + 4 | A 25% roll in their Abyss boss's rewards | |
| Unique | 4 + 4 + 4 | Festival Shop, 10,000 Centuryroot Tokens | |
| Unique | Field boss artworks such as | 4 + 4 + 4 | Substance Morph: 5,000 Artwork Scraps |
| Epic | Festival Shop landscapes, Epic field boss artworks | 3 + 3 | Festival Shop (2,000 tokens), Substance Morph (1,000 scraps) |
The badges use the game's own grade names. In Aion 2, Heroic sits above Unique and Epic sits below it: Common, Rare, Epic, Unique, Heroic, Mythic.
Advice:
- Fill all twelve frames early, even with cheap artworks. An empty frame is worth nothing; a Rare quest artwork is still 4 points.
- Run Ludra three times for its artwork once you reach its Item Level 2,800 gate, and keep your Conquest cubes open: each dungeon has its own artwork.
- Artwork Scraps add up slowly (1 to 5 per field boss loot chest). A Heroic Gartua artwork (20 points) costs as many scraps as four Unique ones (48 points), so spend them on Unique artworks first and save for Gartua only once your frames are full of Unique pieces.
Theostones
Theostones are proc effects for your weapon and Guard. In the EU client:
- Slots: one on every Epic or Unique weapon and Guard, so two in total.
- Engraving: 10,000 Kina in the Enhancement window. The game warns you when the stone already in the slot would be destroyed or returned.
- No stacking: two identical Theostones apply only one effect. Engrave two different ones.
- Only weapon Theostones exist on EU/NA so far. The client's text mentions armor and accessory Theostones, but none are set up.
What they do
There are 17 effects, each at three grades. The chance and the cooldown stay the same across grades; the duration or damage grows.
| Family | Effect (Unique grade) | Chance | Cooldown | Rare / Epic value |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Status effect | Blind 7 s | 3% | 5 s | 5 s / 6 s |
| Status effect | Seal 5 s | 3% | 5 s | 3 s / 4 s |
| Status effect | Root 5 s | 2% | 5 s | 3 s / 4 s |
| Status effect | Stun 3 s | 3% | 5 s | 1 s / 2 s |
| Status effect | Paralyze 4 s | 2% | 5 s | 2 s / 3 s |
| Status effect | -50% Move Speed, 7 s | 3% | 5 s | 5 s / 6 s |
| Status effect | -50% Combat Speed, 7 s | 3% | 5 s | 5 s / 6 s |
| Damage over time | Poison, 600 every 2 s for 20 s | 5% | 1 s | 300 / 450 |
| Damage over time | Bleed, 800 every 2 s for 10 s | 3% | 1 s | 400 / 600 |
| Single target | Fire 15,000 | 1% | 1 s | 5,000 / 10,000 |
| Single target | Water 7,500 | 2% | 1 s | 2,500 / 5,000 |
| Single target | Earth 3,000 | 5% | 1 s | 1,000 / 2,000 |
| Single target | Wind 1,500 | 10% | 1 s | 500 / 1,000 |
| Area (up to 4 targets) | Fire 3,750 | 2% | 1 s | 1,250 / 2,500 |
| Area (up to 4 targets) | Water 1,875 | 4% | 1 s | 625 / 1,250 |
| Area (up to 4 targets) | Earth 750 | 10% | 1 s | 250 / 500 |
| Area (up to 4 targets) | Wind 375 | 20% | 1 s | 125 / 250 |
The Theostone database lists every stone by name.
Which one to engrave
For PvE damage (our calculation): on paper the four single-target stones are equal, 150 damage per hit at Unique grade. The 1-second cooldown changes that: after a proc, your next hits can't proc. The more hits you land per second, the more a high-chance stone wastes. With 5 hits a second, Fire averages about 710 damage a second, Water 680, Earth 600 and Wind 500. Fire and Water are the best single-target picks; against groups, an area stone hits up to four targets.
For PvP: the status effects matter more than the damage. Stun and Root lock a target for a follow-up, and Seal stops skills. Advice: one damage stone and one control stone is a sound split between weapon and Guard.
Getting better stones
| Source | What you get |
|---|---|
| A random Rare Theostone. Season shops (17,500 season currency, 10 per account), the Arena shop (5 a week) and some quests | |
| A random Rare Theostone, from the Daeva Pass | |
| A Rare Theostone of your choice: Abyss, Arena and Battlefield shops, 35,000 Abyss Points, once | |
| Combining | Up to 4 Theostones of one grade roll a new stone from that grade's table |
The client's combine tables:
| Combining | Result | Odds |
|---|---|---|
| Rare stones | Rare | 88.9% |
| Rare stones | Epic (one grade up) | 11.1% |
| Epic stones | Epic | 90.9% |
| Epic stones | Unique (one grade up) | 9.1% |
| Unique stones | Another Unique | 100% |
Within each result, the stones are not equally likely: in the Rare table the single-target damage stones are the most common results and the blind, stun and paralyze stones the rarest.
Advice: take the Rare Selection Chest for the effect you want while you combine for an upgrade, and don't combine the one stone you're using. A Unique stone takes many combines, so treat it as a long-term goal.
