In the gameGame clientKrao Cave is rich in a special mineral called Krao, known for its ability to repel external forces. Lepharists conducted various experiments with Krao here and, during the Last War, created the powerful Berk, which played a key role in the conflict.

On this page

Krao Cave is the first Expedition a character can enter, and the first Conquest run at the level cap, so almost every party learns its bosses early. The panels above answer whether you can enter and what you get. Below: the way through the cave, each boss with the casts that matter, and what to do with the cubes they leave. For how this dungeon fits among the others, see the dungeon overview and the endgame PvE ladder.

  10. “The sealed door has opened, kru!”
  11. “This is an Odyle Energy Cube!”

The game's own captions, in the order of the client's records: close to the path, not a verified route.

Advice
  • Phazkhi says either path is fine. Each mini-boss has its own cube, so clearing both gives you a cube claim from each before the final boss.
  • Krao Seal Guardian stands between you and the inner door: Phazkhi asks you to defeat it, then to bind the Kibelisk next to it, which takes 5 s. Bind it, so a wipe on the final boss does not cost you the walk.
  • The Croka along the way cannot move, in the guide's own words: walk around them instead of fighting them.

Also in the fight: Krao Giant Test Subject.

AdviceHow to beat Enhanced Harcon
  • It calls a Krao Giant Test Subject at most every 20 s: a damage dealer picks it up, so it does not reach the healer.
  • Its close slam covers 6 m around the spot it marks: melee step out when the ground marker appears, then back in.
  • No enrage timer and no named casts in the client data: a calm fight to learn stagger points on.

AdviceHow to beat Neglected Gadioton
  • At most every 45 s it pulls everything within 30 m to itself, then knocks down anyone still inside 8 m for 2 s. Keep a dash or a crowd-control break for the moment right after the pull.
  • Its line attack hits the same lane several times (5 hits over 30 m): step sideways out of the lane and stay out until it ends, instead of backing up along it.

Ultimate Berk has 4 form records in the client. Also in the fight: Chroma, Twisted Croka.

What Ultimate Berk says (cues you can hear)
  1. On pull“The seal has been broken. Evolution will begin again.”
  2. On pull“Daeva... must not be suffered to live...”
  3. On death“Severance and unity... are the same... There is no complete annihilation...”
  4. When Frenzy starts“Only I will remain in the end!”
AdviceHow to beat Ultimate Berk
  • In Conquest the enrage timer runs out at 05:00. After it Frenzy gives the boss +200% damage and +100% combat speed: treat the timer as the damage check of the run. Exploration has no enrage timer.
  • Wave of Fury: when the alert banner appears, get behind a rock, as Phazkhi tells you. Fight where a rock is close.
  • Extinction for Eternity: this is the stagger check. Save your stagger skills for it.

    Phazkhi“Quickly, hide behind the rock!”
    Ultimate Berk“Disappear from my sight!”
    Advice

The circle has a radius of 45 m, so running out of it is rarely possible: use the 5 s of the alert banner to reach the rock. The client flags its casts with a hidden cast bar (not checked in game), so do not wait for a cast bar. Where the rocks stand is not in the client data: look for them on your first pull.

Phazkhi“Now! Use your special skill to increase Stagger, kru!”
Ultimate Berk“Life will shatter, and merge with me!”
    Advice

Phazkhi's line is the counter: the party has the 8 s cast to deplete the boss's stagger points, so hold your stagger skills for this cast instead of spending them on cooldown. A staggered boss stays down for 5 s: that is your damage window. Whether a stagger always stops the cast is not in the client data.

    Advice

3 hits in a row: a pull into a line, then cones of 220° and 300°. The last cone leaves only a 60° gap. The client does not say which way it points; cones usually face the boss's front, so everyone but the tank stays behind. The bleed lasts 20 s: healers, plan a cleanse or steady healing.

Loot: the cube is the reward

The bosses themselves drop almost nothing. What you came for is in the cube each of them leaves, and opening a cube costs a resource that every character refills over time.

How the cube worksGame client
  1. Defeat a boss
Each of the 3 bosses leaves its own Odyle Energy Cube.
  2. Open it with Odyle Energy
    20Exploration40ConquestOne claim per cube.
  3. Fill Condensed Cube Energy
Every claim counts. When it is full you pick one Guaranteed Reward:Explorationafter 1 claimConquestafter 14 claims
  4. Collect it before you go back
Dungeons can be entered after collecting the guaranteed reward.
Odyle Energy holds up to 560 (840 with a membership) and refills 15 every 3 h.
Worked out from those numbers: a full bar opens 14 cubes in Conquest, and a day of refill (120) opens 3.
[Conquest/Transcendence] Remaining Unobtained Cube Count
  • Clearing and exiting the dungeon without obtaining Odyle Energy Cube rewards will still lower the count.
  • The count resets weekly. You cannot enter Conquest and Transcendence Dungeons when the count is 0.
  • Limit is applied on a per-server basis.
The client's entrance data takes 1 of this count per entry, so a cap of 10 gives 10 runs a week. Whether opening cubes uses more is not checked in game. The Guaranteed Reward needs 14 claims: at least 5 full runs with 3 cubes each.

Worth running it for

Chance per cube you openGame client

The last column assumes you open all 3 cubes of one run. Cubes also hold fixed rewards and more gear: Every drop with its odds

Guaranteed Reward: pick one

Advice
  • Short on Odyle Energy? Open the final boss cube first: for Berk Ring it gives 1.72% a cube, against 0.86% from a mini-boss cube, and every claim counts toward the Guaranteed Reward all the same.
  • For your first Guaranteed Reward in Conquest, pick the accessory you are still missing: Berk Ring, Berk Earrings or Berk Necklace. The voucher can wait.
  • In Exploration the pick comes after 1 claim, which is how a fresh character gears up toward the Item Level 700 that Conquest asks for.
