Aion 2 – Ranger Guide (PvE & PvP)

Warum Ranger?

Substats PvE

Einstufung: Pflicht = unverzichtbar · wichtig = sollte drauf, aber nicht die Top-Priorität · optional = nice to have

Waffe (beide)

  • Damage Boost – wichtig
  • Weapon Damage Boost – Pflicht
  • Multi-Hit – Pflicht
  • Attack – wichtig
  • Might – wichtig
  • Precision – wichtig
  • Combat Speed – Pflicht

Magiesteine PvP

Grundregel: 2x PvP Evasion hat oberste Priorität.

Waffe

  • PvP Damage Boost – Pflicht
  • PvP Evasion – Pflicht
  • PvP Attack / Weapon Damage Boost / Attack-Evasion – optional

Guard

  • PvP Damage Boost – wichtig
  • PvP Damage Boost (2. Slot) – Pflicht
  • PvP Evasion / Evasion – Pflicht
  • PvP Attack / Accuracy – optional

Restliche Ausrüstung (Helm, Schulter, Brust, Handschuhe, Hose, Stiefel, Umhang, Ohrringe, Ringe, Kette): Gleiches Prinzip überall:

  • PvP Evasion / Evasion (2x) – Pflicht
  • PvP Attack – optional

Eigene Zusammenfassung/Umformulierung meiner Ranger-Notizen für den EU/NA-Release.

ion 2 – Ranger Guide (PvE & PvP)

Why Ranger?

Ranger is my pick for solo content: good range, tons of mobility, and you can kite enemies cleanly instead of tanking hits head-on. It might not be the absolute top DPS class every patch, but it's consistently strong and comfortable to play — especially if you're into bow/crossbow-style gameplay.

TL;DR: relaxed solo farming, strong mobility, reliable ranged DPS.

PvE – Strengths Overview

AreaRatingNotes
Solo Farming5/5Drop mobs from range, kite dangerous enemies — very comfortable
Open-World Grinding5/5Move between packs efficiently while keeping distance
Dungeons4/5Solid ranged DPS, good positioning makes dodging easier
Boss Fights4/5Consistent damage, safe positioning — not always top DPS, but reliable
Abyss4/5Strong in open areas, good at picking off targets
Transcendence Content4/5Performs well as long as movement + steady ranged damage are rewarded
Ascension Content4/5Good overall if you understand positioning/mechanics
Survivability4/5Not tanky, but survives through distance and good movement
Mobility5/5One of the biggest strengths — repositioning, kiting, dodging mechanics
Burst Damage4/5Good burst potential from range with the right timing
Sustained Damage4/5Reliable damage over time with good uptime
Party Value3/5Useful ranged DPS, but not as sought-after as tank/heal/support

Level 45 Gear

Armor: Go for the highest available set tier for your level range, then work down through the next-lower tiers. (Dropped yellow items of the same tier are interchangeable.)

Weapon: Same principle — highest available tier first, then step down through lower tiers as alternatives. (Craftable weapons are also a solid option for PvE buffs.)

PvE Substats

Priority scale: Must-have = non-negotiable · Important = should be on there, but not top priority · Optional = nice to have

Weapon (both)

  • Damage Boost – Important
  • Weapon Damage Boost – Must-have
  • Multi-Hit – Must-have
  • Attack – Important
  • Might – Important
  • Precision – Important
  • Combat Speed – Must-have

PvP – Strengths Overview

Ranger is strong in solo/open-world PvP, really good in small groups, valuable as backline DPS in ZvZ, and heavily matchup-dependent in 1v1.

AreaRatingNotes
1v13/5Matchup-dependent — wins with room to kite, but fragile against gap-closers/burst
Small-Scale PvP4/5Stronger than 1v1: focus priority targets with teammates, pressure healers/casters
Co-op Arena4/5Strong ranged presence with high mobility when protected by a good team
ZvZ / Large-Scale PvP4/5Good backline DPS, great for finishing low-HP targets — avoid the frontline

PvP Magic Stones

Golden rule: 2x PvP Evasion is top priority.

Weapon

  • PvP Damage Boost – Must-have
  • PvP Evasion – Must-have
  • PvP Attack / Weapon Damage Boost / Attack-Evasion – Optional

Guard

  • PvP Damage Boost – Important
  • PvP Damage Boost (2nd slot) – Must-have
  • PvP Evasion / Evasion – Must-have
  • PvP Attack / Accuracy – Optional

Rest of the gear (Helmet, Shoulder, Chest, Gloves, Legs, Boots, Cape, Earrings, Rings, Necklace): Same principle across the board:

  • PvP Damage Boost – Important to Must-have (Boots: Important only)
  • PvP Evasion / Evasion (x2) – Must-have
  • PvP Attack – Optional
