Aion 2 Launches in the West in September 2026
NCSOFT's Aion 2 comes to Europe and North America: Founder early access on September 30, free-to-play on October 5, 2026 (13:00 UTC). What was confirmed and how to prepare.
Update, September 29, 2026: the dates are set. Founder early access opens September 30 and the free-to-play launch follows on October 5, 2026, both at 13:00 UTC. The headline first: Aion 2 arrives in Europe and North America in September 2026. When we first wrote this in July, NCSOFT had announced the window but not the day. The day is now known: Founder's Pack holders play from Wednesday, September 30 at 13:00 UTC, everyone else from Monday, October 5 at 13:00 UTC.
What's confirmed
- Early access: September 30, 2026, for Founder's Pack holders: announced for 13:00 UTC, the servers opened at 14:00 UTC.
- Free-to-play launch: October 5, 2026, 13:00 UTC.
- The game itself: the same MMORPG that launched in South Korea and Taiwan in late 2025 — eight classes at the EU/NA launch (the Brawler comes later), two factions (Elyos and Asmodians), open-world faction conflict in the Abyss, and the series' signature flight. Built on Unreal Engine 5.
Because the game is already live in Asia, the western launch is unusually knowable: the classes, zones, dungeons and systems are documented — and this site's database is now built from the EU retail client itself (Steam build 25624879, extracted on September 30), not the Taiwan build we used in July.
What's still open
- Server clocks: NCSOFT has not published the EU/NA server time zones. Our timers assume regional local time and say so; we confirm it on the live servers at early access.
- Client patches: names and numbers change with game updates. We re-import the client after every patch and list the changes in the changelog.
