Gear Grades & Enhancing Explained
Aion 2's item grades from Common to Mythic, how enhancing works, real success rates and Kina costs from the EU client, and what Amplified Enhancement adds on top.
En esta página
Almost every point of character power in Aion 2 comes from your equipment, and equipment power comes from two things: the grade of the item and its enhance level. This guide covers both, with real success rates and costs from the EU/NA client data.
The grade ladder
Here are the grade names as the game shows them, from lowest to highest:
| Grade (as shown in-game) | In the EU/NA client |
|---|---|
| Common | Starter and leveling gear |
| Rare | Leveling gear with the first Soul Binding stats |
| Epic | Mid and late leveling gear |
| Unique | The top equipment grade in this build, up to item level 102 |
| Heroic | Above Unique. In this build only on consumables and materials, not on equipment |
| Mythic | The highest grade in the grade table. No items use it in this build |
| Special | Cosmetics, wings, currencies and system items, outside the power ladder |
Colors follow the grade everywhere on this site, just as they do in-game, so you can read a tooltip at a glance.
The game's data files use shifted names for two grades: items shown as Heroic in-game are
tagged Epic internally, and items shown as Epic are tagged Legend.
You'll only notice this in our database URLs and filters, which use the internal keys (for
example ?grade=Legend lists gear displayed as Epic). Every visible label on
Aion2.gg uses the in-game name.
Grade decides more than raw stats. Higher grades get more Soul Binding sub-stat slots. For
example, the Rare Arco de ambulante rolls 2 random sub-stats, the Epic
Arco de locura rolls 3, and the Unique
Espadón de rey dragón sombrío brillante rolls 5 (see
Soul Binding & Sub-stats Explained). Higher grades
also get longer enhance ladders and Amplified Enhancement.
Enhancing: the basics
Enhancing raises an item's enhance level (+1, +2, …), and each step adds flat stats. Every attempt costs:
- Kina, the gold currency:
Kinah (integrado).
Piedra de mejora, the standard enhancing material, in growing amounts.
The ladder length depends on the item's grade and level. Two things make early enhancing painless:
-
The early ladder can't fail. Every step of these ladders succeeds 100% of the time. Only the cost goes up:
Item Ladder Kina per attempt Arco de ambulante (item level 30)
+1 to +5, all 100% 3,750 → 21,000 Arco de locura (item level 45)
+1 to +10, all 100% 5,630 → 89,000 -
Gear Transfer (the client's name for moving an item's progress into another item) exists so that enhancing gear you'll replace isn't wasted. Its rules are on each item's database page.
The high-grade ladder: where the odds begin
Unique weapons have the longest ladder, +15, and the guaranteed part ends at +10. Here are
the real numbers for a level-102 Unique weapon (for example the Espadón de rey dragón sombrío brillante):
| Step | Success rate | Kina per attempt |
|---|---|---|
| +1 to +10 | 100% | 12,800 → 202,000 (rising each step), plus 510 → 8,070 Enhance Stones |
| +11 | 65% | 360,000 |
| +12 | 50% | 540,000 |
| +13 | 35% | 860,000 |
| +14 | 25% | 1,340,000 |
| +15 | 20% | 1,860,000 |
A failed attempt on these steps costs you the materials. For each of the risky steps (+11 to +15) the client also stores a failure correction of 5%, a bonus meant to raise your odds after a failure. The in-game enhancing window shows the exact rate before you commit.
Amplified Enhancement: past the normal cap
678 Unique items in the EU/NA client (weapons, shields, armor and accessories) have an
Amplified Enhancement ladder on top of normal enhancing: five more steps that push an item
past its usual limit. These attempts cost far more, use Piedra de superación (único) (6 for the
first step, 20 for the fifth on a level-102 weapon) and are never guaranteed. Real numbers for
the level-102 Unique weapon ladder:
| Amplified step | Success rate | Failure correction | Kina per attempt |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 66% | 5% | 600,000 |
| 2 | 50% | 4% | 900,000 |
| 3 | 33% | 3% | 1,400,000 |
| 4 | 25% | 2% | 2,000,000 |
| 5 | 20% | 1% | 3,000,000 |
Each Amplified step adds its own stat block on top of the enhance bonuses. The client also has a message for an item destroyed by a failed Amplified Enhancement, so read the in-game warning before every attempt. Only amplify gear you plan to keep for a long time.
Sockets: Manastones and Theostones
Apart from enhancing, equipment has Manastone slots (3,505 items in the EU/NA client have
at least one), and 964 items, weapons among them, also have a Theostone slot for stones like
Piedra sagrada: Treta de Fregion. Socketing is a separate way to gear up. Every item page in the
item database lists its slots.
Practical advice
- Leveling: enhance freely up to the end of the guaranteed steps. It's cheap and can't fail.
- Fresh endgame: take your main weapon to +10 before you try the risky steps. The 100% segment gives you the most power per Kina in the game.
- Risky steps: only try +11 and beyond with Kina to spare. Going from +13 to +15 costs millions on average.
- Amplify last. An Amplified step on the wrong item is millions of Kina you won't get back. Check your item is best-in-slot against the database first.
- Wings: see Wings, Flight & Wing Enhancement for what the EU/NA client contains for wings.
All rates and costs above come from the EU/NA client. A client patch can retune them, and we re-check after every patch.
The game data on Aion2.gg comes from the EU/NA game client, version 2.0.7.0 (Steam build 25926599), extracted on October 16, 2026.PruébaloOcultar la sección
