How to Use the Aion2.gg Interactive Map
A feature tour of the Aion2.gg interactive map: zone navigation, spawn markers backed by 178,000+ placement records from the EU client, deep links, and how the map connects to the database.

The interactive map is the part of Aion2.gg that turns the database from a reference into a tool: every monster, gathering node and point of interest we know about is a marker on the actual in-game world. This is a quick tour of what it can do and how it hooks into the rest of the site.
What the map is built from
The map is not a scanned image with hand-placed pins. It is generated from the same game-data export as the database, the EU/NA client:
- 1,706 map images — the actual zone map textures from the client, tiled for smooth zooming.
- 178,606 spawn records — real placement data for monsters, NPCs and objects, per zone.
- 740 map records — every zone, dungeon floor and instance layer the client knows about.
- Teleport points, dungeon entrances and environment objects from their own data tables.
When you see a marker, it is where the game itself says that thing lives — the same source of truth as each NPC's page in the NPC database.
Navigating zones
The map opens on the world view at /map. Each major zone has its own page — for example Verteron, the first full Elyos region, lives at /map/World_L_A. The zone keys in the URL are the game's internal region names (the Elyos world zones are the "World_L" series, Asmodian ones "World_D"), which keeps links stable across data updates and identical in every site language, even though the display names are localized.
You can reach any zone map three ways:
- From the zone switcher on the map page itself.
- From a zone database page — each zone entry links to its map.
- From entity pages: NPCs, gathering nodes and dungeon entrances link directly to their position on the map.
Markers and deep links
Every marker on the map is addressable. Selecting a marker shows its card — name, level, type and a link to the full database entry — and updates the URL to a deep link you can share. A link like:
/map/World_L_A?marker=npc-2100178
opens Verteron's map with that specific spawn highlighted (in this case Bloodfang Pnyn, one of the zone's named monsters). Paste a link like that in guild chat and everyone lands on the same pin — no "north of the third lake" required.
From database to map and back
The connection runs both directions, which is where the real workflow lives:
- Hunting a monster? Its NPC page lists spawn zones with map links — jump straight to its pins.
- Standing somewhere interesting on the map? Every marker links back to the database entry, with drop tables for monsters and full details for NPCs.
- Planning a farming route? Filter a zone's markers by type (monsters, gathering, teleports) and walk the pins in order.
- Lost in a quest? Quest pages name their zones and targets — look the target up on that zone's map.
Solo story instances and dungeon layers are mapped as their own entries — the 734 dungeon records include their floors. If a quest sends you into a private layer, it has a map too.
A note on accuracy
Spawn data comes from the EU/NA client. Spawn tables get touched in patches — repositioned camps, added named monsters, seasonal spawns — so a marker can move after a client update. Because the map is generated from data rather than drawn by hand, a re-import after each patch refreshes every marker at once; the changelog notes each data update.
The game data on Aion2.gg comes from the EU/NA game client, version 2.0.7.0 (Steam build 25926599), extracted on October 16, 2026.Quick reference
| I want to… | Do this |
|---|---|
| Browse the world | Open /map and pick a zone |
| Find a specific monster | Search it in the database, click its spawn link |
| Share a location | Click the marker, copy the URL |
| Scout a starter zone | Poeta or Ishalgen, then the map link |
| Plan endgame farming | Zone map + marker filters + drop tables |
The map, like the site, keeps evolving through launch week — feature requests are welcome on our Discord. For launch-week times, pair it with the launch hub and the event timer.
